We have RELAXATION

If you are looking for accommodation for relaxation on the riverfront or by the riverside in Western Australia, then this is THE place for you. This brand new home is situated right on the banks of the Murray River less than 40 minutes from Western Australia's Capital City of Perth and ten minutes from the ocean and Festival of the Crab City of Mandurah.

We have FISHING

Come and enjoy the crabbing, fishing and relaxed holiday atmosphere as you sit on your private jetty with tackle and a snack, or head out along the river in your dinghy.

We have DOLPHINS

Dolphins are seen in the river on most days, chasing fish and frolicing along the banks.

We have Lots of BIRDS

Hand feed the Parrots, Magpies, Mudlarks and different varieties of Ducks and waterfowl on your own back lawn.See the video below, handfeeding the parrots.

We have COMFORT

Or, If you prefer, the comfort of the large open space living areas and huge bay windows allow you to watch the river and the bird life as you relax indoors. Set the crab nets, fire up the BBQ, put on the cooking pots and sharpen your appetite! This home is complete with temperature control in the living areas and fully ducted airconditioning throughout. Lock-up parking for four cars and room for two more trailers behind locked gates.

We have PLENTY OF BEDS

Four Large bedrooms contain 3 double beds and four single (bunk) beds as well as two double sofa beds providing comfortable bedding for up to 14 people. The new dining table seats ten but there is plenty of room at the breakfast counter for another family.

Self catering is A BREEZE

Your fully equipped kitchen will make self catering a breeze. Gas hot water, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge with ice maker, 4 ring electric stove with grill and oven with all cutlery and pots provided. If you prefer outdoor alfresco then the four burner BBQ with another large pot burner is the go.

Close to SHOPPING

Mandurah City, less than ten minutes drive, has shopping centres, commercial centres and all service industries. On the weekends the nearest shop is 800m, next to the Hotel, or Pinjarra, about five minutes drive. I personally recommend the "Rock Bottom Seafood" located next to the shop on the weekend or a little closer to Mandurah on Pinjarra Road during the week. Great food at decent prices.

We have a POOL TABLE

The pool table, Totem Tennis, Table Tennis, Boche, Monopoly, Cards and two DTV/DVD will provide daily entertainment as will the large lawn areas, birdlife and proximity to the water.

We have a PRIVATE JETTY

If you are bringing your own boat, the nearest public boat ramp is 500m down river however canoes, kayaks and small dinghies can be launched at your private jetty at the bottom of the lawn.

We have local ENTERTAINMENT

The local Ravenswood Hotel is very popular for meals and entertainment, especially on the weekend. Located in a most beautiful setting, right on the banks of the Murray River, it is easily accessible by road (750meters) or by river. Local shops are right next to the hotel.

We are close to ALL SPORTS FACILITIES

Mandurah is Western Australia's most popular holiday spot and has a host of leisure activities on offer all year round. The yearly Mandurah Crab Fest attracts thousands of people to the estuary and tributaries for the excellent crabbing, fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. Dolphin watching is most popular and Dolphins are often seen swimming in front of our home where there are many opportunites for close-up views. Mandurah is also home to many sporting clubs, including golf courses, Country Club, lawn bowling, sailing clubs, fishing, diving and much more. You can hire a day boat and explore the Murray river all the way from the ocean at Mandurah to the Bridge at Pinjarra. Experience the excellent feat of engineering that is the Dawesville Cut where a three kilometre section of land was removed to allow water from the estuary to flow freely into the ocean, thereby effectively flushing the estuary with each tide. The fishing and birdlife has increased significantly since the cut was made and the crabs abound!

PLEASE NOTE - This is a family home suitable for families seeking peace and relaxation. It is NOT a party house for a large group of adults and is situated in a quiet residential location.

Bring the kids but be aware that there is no fence between the back door and the river so those who can't swim must stay indoors, unless under supervision.
